"Prints!" says FARM Rio founder Kátía Barros, when asked to pinpoint what the in-your-face Rio de Janeiro label does best. "We aren't afraid to be very bold and colorful—it’s part of our Brazilian DNA." True, the brand's jungly florals, bold stripes, and fresh fruit motifs may be fun, but Barros takes their production very seriously: she employs more than 40 skilled local workers to illustrate, embroider, bead, paint, and embellish each piece. The finished products? Carefree silhouettes with a tropical punch—in other words, styles that make it feel like summer all year round.
